Production of the steel structure of the cycleway Description: The footbridge structure is designed as a truss with an upper bridge deck on a span of 60.0 m and is connected to two concrete spans with spans of 16.0 m and 12.0 m. The whole structure acts statically as a continuous beam. The supporting steel structure of the footbridge is designed from two diamond trusses with an arched bottom flange of circular tubes connected by cross-beams. The main girders are inclined and converge at mid-span. The bridge deck is designed to be reinforced concrete at the level of the top chord. The crossbars connecting the upper chords are concreted into the bridge deck to provide stability to the upper chords. The structure is indirectly supported on the bearings of the end cross beams. |
