Footbridge over the Elbe River

Subject of the contract:
Production and assembly of the steel structure of the footbridge
The supporting structure of the footbridge is designed as a subtle prestressed segmental bridge deck supported by an external cable. The segments above the individual supports are designed as steel. These segments also serve for the anchorage of the 130 mm diameter external support cables. The effects of the external cables are transmitted to the concrete segments via the steel frames. The bearing of the structure is designed by means of calotte bearings on the abutments.
